Our goal here at MJ Photography is to capture the memories most precious to you for you and your family to cherish for a lifetime and then some. Pictures have been a part of generational history for thousands of years and given newer technology anyone is able to snap a photo and save it forever with the press of a button at any time, so then what makes our photography any different? We will take as many details of your life into account as possible. We want you to feel almost as if we are a part of the family ourselves so that we can capture your wonder-filled memories without any kind of unnatural or forced feel of interaction.

We offer our services to a wide area following I70 and I270. Essentially inside the four corners of Harpers Ferry, WV - Martinsburg, WV - Alexandria, VA - Baltimore, MD This includes house calls, meetups at an independent location indoors or outdoors, or if an independent location is preferred but you are unaware of where to go we know of a few places to go for some incredible photos. We are always willing to go look for more as well! We offer several size printouts, basic picture frames, and photobooks (physical or digital)
When Can We Do It?
From September 1st to April 1st I work overtime every week servicing gas fireplaces. My intense work schedule limits my availability during those 6 months to weekends only. Even granting weekend availability I do occasionally still get a Saturday call or two so Sunday's are preferred however I am willing to work a little harder to make our schedules line up so don't hesitate to barter with me over the scheduling. During the summer my schedule is much more flexible. Sundays from 7am-9pm I am available for all sessions. Headshots, passport, some school/family photos will take less time and could potentially be scheduled for a weekday between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. A session will typically take about 30-45 minutes plus 5-10 minutes of consultation to confirm what the end goal for our photos is and how we can best satisfy your needs. A specialty or custom session can take up to two hours depending on the request and setting. If receiving photo printouts we will most commonly send them by mail however for an additional charge a pickup or delivery time and location can be scheduled at the time of the session.
